Aalayah Eastmond

Aalayah Eastmond is a 2019 graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL. On February 14, 2018, she was in the third classroom targeted by a gunman who took the lives of 17 students and staff members. In the wake of this tragedy, Aalayah has dedicated her life to preventing gun violence in America. 

 She has been particularly vocal about the chronic gun violence affecting Black youth, a cause that resonates deeply with her due to the tragic loss of her uncle, who was shot and killed in Brooklyn, NY. 

Aalayah has spoken at the March For Our Lives, testified before the Senate and House Judiciary Committees, participated in the March on Washington, and so much more. In addition to her advocacy work, Aalayah is a founding member of Team ENOUGH. Aalayah also serves as the national spokesperson for Brady, and the Cultural & Community Engagement Manager. She is also a co-founder of Concerned Citizens D.C. She holds a Criminal Justice Degree of Trinity Washington University in Washington, D.C.
